On the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman

Philip Seymour HoffmanPhilp Seymour Hoffman one of the great actors of screen and stage died on 2nd February 2014 of a drug overdose. He was 46 years old.

All of us are addicted. We are all hooked on something. There are the obvious ones food, sex, drugs, alcohol. Then there are the less obvious money, fitness, speed, risk, yoga, raw food, dieting this list could go on and on.

Judging a person as good or bad because of an addition is insane, we all needs must then be judged in the same way because we are all addicted to something.

Our addictions are a testament to our pain, our suffering, often unconcious suffering at that, and as long as we remain ignorant of the suffering we will continue to die from our addictions and project that pain out into all the relationships we have in the world.

We need to find a way to understand the root of our addictions only then can we free ourselves and help those around us to do the same.
